November 2008

Our November meeting will be held at the Scantic Valley YMCA Senior Center.
Executive Chef Kathleen Delaney will be featured at our November meeting. She will be speaking about various ways to make Thanksgiving dinner healthier and tastier. Kathleen will be giving a cooking demonstration, so the meeting is starting promptly at 7:00. If you would like to know more about Kathleen and view her amazing menu's please visit her website. http://www.mygreatgrapes.com/

We are just a week and a half away from Thanksgiving and still in need of a few items for the four Thanksgiving Baskets. These items include:
4 turkeys (if you have big y coins or coupons those would be helpful too!)
4 bags of salad mix and dressing
4 half gallons of 2% milk
4 bags of oranges or apples
4 boxes of foil
If you prefer, monetary contributions are also helpful. We will be using funds to fill in the gaps however, we do not have enough money at this point to purchase what is still needed.

Thank you for your generosity,
Launie Buck – 596-0127- satbuck@gte.net
Sarah Lloyd- 596-9050- sarah.lloyd2@verizon.net

Remember as a chairperson(s) you don't have to "do it all", just coordinate the event. You can organize it as you see fit and bring in as many other people as you want.

I thank Thee again, as a Volunteer
For the Chance to serve again this year;
To give of myself in some small way,
To those not blessed as I each day.
