Thanks to everyone who helped staff the Dress For Success Booth down at the Mass Mutual Center. What a great project. If you are cleaning out your closets over the summer, look for some of the following items that could really help out Dress for Success. We hope to do a collection for them in Sept. They are in need of Business suits, blouses, skirts, blazers-all should be cleaned and in good condition. Also dress shoes and costume jewelry are needed to accessorize outfits. More info to follow at the Sept. meeting. I hope you will be able to come to the picnic which is being held at my house on June 17. Come and take a few minutes to relax and visit with fellow juniors before we break for the summer! Liz Medeiros was our scholarship winner and she will join us at the picnic. You will be able to congratulate her in person and of course photos will be taken!! Katie Fuss delivered our 24 pillowcases to the hospital in Haiti and will present her powerpoint presentation from her trip as well. We are still in need of a chair to coordinate the Peach Festival ticket booth on August 16. Tammey will be shopping for the backpacks and school supplies for the Gray House over the summer.
Volunteers still needed for the Triathlon on June 29th, contact
Tammey Guihan.
Hope to see you at the picnic!
Kathy

The June Picnic is just a week away and here's what's cookin', so to speak. To date we have 17 people signed up to attend. Please let us know by this Thursday if you are coming, so that we can plan appropriately for chairs and tables. We do hope more Juniors will come out for this fun evening!!

For those of you who are thinking about coming and those of you who are feeling industrious, please take a look at the attached sign up sheet. A couple of items we could still use include: a green salad, other salads, baked beans, pasta salad, an appetizer or two, 3 or 4 more bottles of wine.
Please feel free to call or email either Lynn Vreeland or Sarah Lloyd if you have questions. Meanwhile, stay
cool!

Summer concert series ad has been submitted to Celine Gadreau for publication in the concert series booklet. An ad will also be created for publication in the Peach Festival brochure this summer. Look for a picture in the upcoming Hampden Wilbraham Times of Juniors who recently spent time planting in the center of town. They had a special helper, Hailie Franklin, a 4th grade Soule Road student who loves planting and simply stopped by and ending up staying to help!
Book collection:
Thank you to all who donated books to our collections. We were quite successful! 406 children's books were brought to the annual conference and were donated to the Springfield Housing Authority. 49 paperback books will be on their way shortly to our troops who are serving overseas. Unfortunately the collection bin for Hands Across the Water is no longer located at Christ the King Lutheran Church. We decided to donate the remaining 413 books to the Friends of the Wilbraham Public Library for their annual book sale. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund programs sponsored by the Library for both children and adults.
Thank you for your donations!
